-
The short answer is no. Eyelash extension are safe and pain-free when they are applied by a trained and experienced lash artist.
-
The longevity of eyelash extensions varies based on factors such as your natural lash growth cycle, type of lifestyle, and practicing proper aftercare.
As your natural lashes shed, the extensions will naturally fall out with them. To consistently maintain a full look, it is recommended to regularly schedule fill appointments every 2-3 weeks and practice proper aftercare including washing your eyelashes every day, avoiding oil-based products, and excessive moisture. Eyelash extensions will naturally last longer without the use of eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara. -
The application process depends on several factors, including the client’s natural lashes and the desired lash look. A full set of eyelash extensions will take anywhere from 1.5-3 hours.
-Classic lashes: A Full set of classic lashes, where one extension is applied to each natural lash, typically takes around 1.5-2 hours. Fills take around 1 hour.
-Hybrid Lashes: A full set of hybrid lashes, where a 50/50 mix of classic and volume lashes are applied to each natural lash, typically takes around 2-2.5 hours. Fills take around 1.5 hours.
-Volume Lashes: A full set of volume lashes, where multiple lightweight extensions are applied to each natural lash, may take slightly longer, ranging from 2.5-3 hours. Fills take around 1.5-2 hours.

Ideally, no makeup is the best makeup. But if you choose to wear makeup, these are my recommendations to help your lashes last longer.
Use oil-free products. Oil-based products can break down the adhesive used for the eyelash extensions and reduce their longevity.
Avoid Mascara:
If you choose to wear mascara, avoid waterproof mascara. Please only apply on the tips of the eyelash extensions. Applying mascara to the base will affect retention and create build-up, which creates a problem when placing new eyelash extensions at a fill appointment.Gentle Eye Makeup Removal: When removing eye makeup, use an oil-free makeup remover and gently use a Q-tip to remove makeup in the eye area.
Avoid Eyeliner Application: If you use eyeliner, be careful during application. Gel and pencil eyeliners are preferred over liquid liners, as they are easier to remove without causing stress on the lashes.

It is recommended to wash your lashes once a day. It will keep your lashes free of oils and bacteria growth. If you do not wash them once a day, I suggest washing them at least every 2-3 days.
Going without washing your lashes will cause issues with retention and bacteria growth, which can lead to what is called Demodex, aka lash mites.
-
Yes. Eyelash extensions are safe to get wet in the shower-it is suggested to wash them daily. You can also swim with eyelash extensions. If you plan to be underwater for a long period, I recommend wearing goggles. The salt and chlorine will take a toll on your extensions. Once you are done with pool/swim time, wash your eyelash extensions with the lash shampoo that I provide you with at your appointment.

This answer specifically depends on the person. For most people, the answer is yes. I use a hypoallergenic glue that leaves people who have allergies or sensitivities free of reactions. However, I have had very few people who still have reacted to the hypoallergenic glue. For those people, it is best not to get eyelash extensions, and I recommend exploring the idea of a lash perm instead.

Eyelash extensions can be damaging if your lash artist is not using proper techniques. Lashes that are too heavy, or clusters (pre-made fans) have larger amount of adhesive and can cause your natural lash to break.
When selecting your lash artist, ask which techniques they used where they were certified. This will aid in maintainting healthy natural lashes and enjoying the benefits of extensions.

Sugar waxing is a natural hair removal method that uses a mix of sugar, water, and lemons. The paste is molded into the hair follicle and removed quickly in the direction of growth. Using this method, there is minimal irritation and slower regrowth. It’s like a sweet treat for your skin!
-
While regular waxing uses hard or soft wax that can be a bit harsh - containing dyes, resins, preservatives, and is heated at a high temp. Sugar waxing is all about that natural goodness! Sugaring ingredients are 100% natural, food-grade, and biodegradable. It’s less sticky, easier to clean up, and typically less painful because it adheres only to the hair, not the skin. Sugar wax is applied at room temp and is pulled with the direction of the natural hair growth, causing less breakage and ingrown hairs.
-
While sugar waxing can be a fun DIY project, we recommend leaving it to the professionals for the best results. A trained expert knows the ins and outs to ensure a safe and smooth experience!
-
Sugar wax is made from just three simple ingredients: sugar, water, and lemons. It’s like making a sweet potion for your skin!
-
Yes! Sugar waxing is safe for sensitive skin because it uses a natural formula that sticks only to the hair and not to the skin, reducing irritation. The ingredients—sugar, water, and lemon juice—are gentle and unlikely to cause allergic reactions. Plus, the warm temperature of the wax is less harsh than traditional waxes, making it a great option for those with delicate skin!
-
For the best results, hair should be about 1/8 to 1/4 inch long—think of it as the Goldilocks zone: not too short, not too long, but just right!
-
Yes, sugar waxing is versatile! You can use it on many areas, like legs, arms, and even the face.
-
I recommend going 3 weeks after your very first treatment, from there you can sugar wax every 4 to 6 weeks! This allows your hair to grow to the ideal length for smooth removal and keeps your skin feeling fabulous!
-
After your sugar wax, treat your skin like royalty! It is best to keep the area clean by wearing loose clothing - allowing your skin to breath and heal, exfoliate after 48 hours, avoid intense workouts for 2 hours, avoid hot showers, saunas, and baths for at least 48 hours. Your skin will thank you!
-
Yes! Many find sugar waxing to be less painful because it only sticks to the hair, not the skin. It’s like a gentle hug instead of a big squeeze! Plus, the natural ingredients help soothe your skin.
